A Little About Me and My Journey Back to Health

I grew up eating a Standard American Diet (SAD) and it finally caught up with me when my husband of one year was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Twenty five years later, after giving birth to 8 children and suffering from 7 miscarriages in between, I found myself in my mid-fifties almost 90 pounds overweight. Being an obese, tired and depressed mother of a big, busy family was no picnic! Over the years I. Tried. Everything….Weight Watchers, Paleo, Whole 30, Jenny Craig, Covert Bailey, Trim Healthy Mama, Body For Life, Susan Powter and The Grapefruit Diet. Nothing worked for me, long term, until I discovered Chef AJ and a Whole Food Plant Exclusive diet that is S.O.S-free (Salt/Oil/Sugar).

Not only did I lose all my excess weight, but I’ve been able to maintain it for over a year. I experience food freedom now and love the calm, stable brain that I didn’t even know I was missing. I have felt released from my food addictions and now the pull of sugar, fat and salt are tamped way down.

I began coaching in May 2023 at the urging of Chef AJ and haven’t looked back! I received my McDougall Starch Solution Certification in 2023, my Food Revolution Network Coaching Certification in 2024. I am currently enrolled in the T. Colin Campbell Plant Based Nutrition course. I love everything to do with plant based nutrition and find it so rewarding to share it with others to help them be their own Success Story.

I enjoy cooking delicious, healthy meals, my daily ebike rides around my town and hanging out with my big family. In my spare time, I love helping Chef AJ as a moderator on her Youtube Channel and as a Health Coach hosting Weightloss Wednesday Zoom calls in her private community which can be found at: https://community.chefaj.com/
